Frequently Asked Questions
These are the questions we are asked most often before an order. If your question is not answered here, contact support — a short question before you buy is always welcome.
Hosting and Plans
1. What kind of hosting does Offshore Hosting provide?
We provide shared and VPS hosting for specific workloads: CRM systems, WooCommerce stores, licensed Envato scripts, and forex trading terminals. Our Solutions page describes each one. If your workload is not listed, ask support before ordering.
2. How do I choose the right plan?
Tell support what application you run, how many users or visitors you expect, and what your current setup looks like. We will recommend a size — or tell you honestly if we are not the right fit. Plan sizes and prices are [TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER].
3. Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?
In most cases, yes. Upgrades are usually straightforward; downgrades depend on how much storage and resource usage your account has. Ask support before changing plans so the move is planned rather than rushed.
4. Where are your servers located?
Server locations are [TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER]. If your application is sensitive to server location — for example, a trading terminal near a broker — ask before ordering.
Domains
5. Can I register a domain with Offshore Hosting?
Domain registration availability is [TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER]. If we register your domain, the terms are set out in our Domain Registration Terms. You can also use a domain registered elsewhere by pointing it at our hosting.
6. Can I transfer my existing domain to you?
Transfer availability and requirements are [TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER]. A transfer does not move your website by itself — the site migration is a separate step, described on our Migration page.
7. What happens if my domain expires?
An expired domain stops working and may be lost if it is not renewed within the recovery period. Keep your contact details current and renew before expiry. Renewal and recovery rules are in the Domain Registration Terms.
Software Licences
8. Do you sell software licences?
We sell server software licences as listed in our licence shop. Licence availability and pricing are [TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER]. Licences for the applications you run on your hosting — such as a CRM or an Envato script — are your responsibility unless a plan explicitly includes one.
9. Can I run a script I bought from Envato?
Yes, if you hold a legitimate licence for it. See our Envato Hosting page. We do not host unlicensed or nulled copies of commercial scripts.
Support and Migration
10. How do I get help?
Open a support ticket as described on our Support page, or search the Knowledge Base first. Support hours and response times are [TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER].
11. Can you migrate my existing website?
In most cases, yes. See our Migration page for eligibility, the access we need, and the limits of a migration — including what happens to orders placed during the move.
12. Do you offer a money-back guarantee?
Refund terms are set out in our Refund Policy. Do not assume a refund applies to your situation until you have read that policy or asked support.
Backups and Security
13. Are backups included?
Backups follow the schedule included with your plan. Backup frequency and retention are [TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER]. Backups protect against hosting-side failure; they are not a substitute for your own exports of critical data. Restoring a backup returns the site to the state it was in when the backup was taken — anything created after that point is lost in the restore.
14. Is my site secure on your hosting?
We maintain the server environment. Your side of security — keeping software updated, using strong passwords, and keeping a valid SSL certificate — is your responsibility. Our Acceptable Use Policy sets out the security obligations for every account.
15. Do you guarantee uptime?
We do not publish an uptime percentage that has not been confirmed. Our service commitments, if any, are set out in the Service Level Agreement. Any uptime figure you see elsewhere on this site that is not in that document should be treated as unconfirmed.
Still Unsure?
If none of these answers covers your situation, contact support and describe what you are trying to do. We would rather answer a pre-sale question than have you buy the wrong plan.
