DRAFT — OWNER REVIEW REQUIRED BEFORE LAUNCH. This Acceptable Use Policy is a draft. It must be reviewed and approved by the owner before the website launches, and it does not take effect until then.

Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do with Offshore Hosting services. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Breach of this policy may lead to suspension or termination of your services.

1. General Principle

Use our services lawfully, and in a way that does not harm others, our network, or other customers. If you are unsure whether an activity is permitted, ask support before doing it.

2. Prohibited Content

  • You must not host, publish, store, or distribute content that is illegal under applicable law, including content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights; malware, viruses, or any code designed to harm systems or data; phishing pages, or content designed to deceive users into revealing credentials or financial information; content that exploits or endangers children in any way; content that incites violence or hatred against any person or group; non-consensual intimate images or content; or content that facilitates wrongdoing, including instructions for fraud, hacking, or the manufacture of weapons.

3. Prohibited Activities

You must not use our services to:

  • Send unsolicited bulk email (spam), or send email in violation of applicable anti-spam law. Bulk or marketing email must go through a dedicated email provider.
  • Launch or participate in denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, or unauthorised access to other systems.
  • Mine cryptocurrency or run other sustained high-load activities that degrade service for other customers, unless explicitly permitted in your plan.
  • Resell our services in a way that misrepresents them as your own infrastructure, or in violation of your plan’s terms.
  • Run unlicensed, nulled, or pirated software, including unlicensed operating systems, scripts, or applications.
  • Falsify headers, sender addresses, or other identifiers to mislead recipients or hide the origin of traffic.
  • Operate open proxies, open relays, or other services that enable abuse by third parties.

4. Security Obligations

  • Keep your software updated, including your CMS, themes, plugins, scripts, and operating system where you manage it.
  • Use strong, unique passwords for your hosting account, control panel, and applications, and keep them private.
  • Do not share your account credentials. If you believe credentials have been exposed, change them immediately and tell support.
  • If your site or server is compromised, tell support promptly. You are responsible for cleaning a compromise on your side, including removing malicious code and updating vulnerable software.
  • Do not attempt to access other customers’ accounts, data, or systems.

5. Resource Use

  • Use the resources included in your plan fairly. Sustained use far above normal levels that affects other customers may lead to us contacting you about a plan change or, if the use continues, suspension.
  • Resource limits for your plan are stated at the time of ordering. Limits: [TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER].
  • Storage on your account is for the operation of your hosted services. It is not a general file backup or file-sharing service.

6. Email Use

  • Outgoing mail from hosting is for transactional and notification email, not for bulk marketing campaigns.
  • Sending limits apply to your plan. Sending limits: [TO BE CONFIRMED BY OWNER].
  • You must comply with applicable anti-spam law in every message you send, including providing a working unsubscribe mechanism where the law requires it.
  • If your account is used to send spam — including through a compromised script — we may suspend mail or the account until the cause is fixed.

7. Reporting Abuse

Abuse of our services can be reported as described on our Report Abuse page. We investigate reports and act where a violation is confirmed. We do not promise a specific outcome or timeline for any report.

8. Enforcement

If we believe this policy has been violated, we may:

  • Warn you and require the violation to be fixed within a stated time.
  • Suspend the offending content, service, or account.
  • Terminate the account for serious or repeated violations.
  • Report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities where required.

Where reasonably possible, we will contact you before taking action, except where immediate action is needed to protect the network or others, or where the law requires otherwise. Enforcement decisions may be appealed by replying to the correspondence through which we contacted you. An appeal is reviewed on the facts; it does not guarantee reversal.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
